How to mine Spectre
In this guide, I’ll briefly introduce the Spectre blockchain and share step-by-step instructions and tips for those interested in mining it.
About Spectre blockchain
Spectre is a blockchain project forked from KASPA, with the primary difference being its hashing algorithm. Spectre uses SpectreX, a CPU-only mining algorithm based on HeavyHash. Spectre’s roadmap includes support for privacy with GhostFACE protocol. The native token is SPR, which is already listed on several exchanges.
Spectre was launched in July, 2024.Emission schedule
The emission schedule follows a halving pattern once per year, with smooth monthly reductions.
Max. supply is 1.16 billion coins.
Initially the block reward starts with 15.00 SPR

Mining Spectre
Spectre is using a SpectreX, which is AstroBWTv3 hash function on top of HeavyHash.
If you do not have an Spectre Wallet, you should obtain one. The easiest way is to create a web wallet at wallet.spectre-network.orgSpectre Wallet

SpectreX is ASIC and GPU resistent at this time, and works best for CPU mining.

To start mining
If your Windows suggest that the miners are "potentially unwanted" software, you may need to select "Allow on device" option in Windows Security settings.
Find the nearest server to your geographical area, and ping it. If the ping is done for less than 100ms, you can consider this server for mining.
$ ping nushypool.comRun the miner. The command line depends from you miner, and your OS. For example to start mining, the run command is:
$ ./tnn-miner --stratum --spectre --daemon-address nushypool.com --port 40015 --wallet [address].[workername]You can quickly configure your command in our SPR Pool Page and tap "Start Mining" button.
